#TOTAL SURRENDER

Hello, welcome to my blog post 🥰🥰

How is the festive season around you? How are you feeling about the whole celebration? Have you started feeling Christmas yet or you are still waiting till Sunday 😅 I would like to know all about it in the comment section.

Me, I'm beginning to enjoy the festive season. Spending the holiday with my family in Lagos is an addition to the whole celebration and festive period. During my week, I made my Christmas and New Year hair😊, packed for the journey, traveled, and yesterday I was searching for an apartment close to my place of primary assignment (PPA) so that I could settle immediately after the holiday is over.

I'm trying to commit everything to God's hands for this one year serving in Lagos, and that brings us to this post, I would be sharing something personal to me, and pray you can gain something from it. So let's dive in😌.

In my Christian Journey, I have prayed to God on several occasions but I didn't really know much about that silent breath prayer when you feel overwhelmed or have something troubling you. I have never felt or understood the need to say those one-second breath prayers. I have never felt I could just say a little prayer and things could really fall in place.

Prayers like "Holy Spirit, I need you" or "Holy Spirit, I feel weak and need strength" but recently whenever I'm going through a lot or just feel overwhelmed, the first words to come out of my mouth would be "Holy Spirit I need help" "Holy Spirit, I need clarity" or "Holy Spirit, I need help to go through this".

I am better at expressing myself sincerely instead of acting like an adult who thinks I can handle it all. I am still learning to fully relieve myself to allow God to control me. Whenever I feel I was overworking or overdoing myself in some situation, I instantly feel that I haven't included Him (God) in the Plan or allowed Him (God) to have full control.

They are times when I felt I wasn't giving God full control and I was complaining things weren't working for me, but immediately I realized what I was doing, I became conscious that I need to allow the leadership of the Holy Spirit to flow. During the Sisters' Conference, I also remember that one of the guest speakers also spoke about Growth by allowing the Leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Blog bestie, are you truly allowing the leadership of the Holy Spirit to flow in your life? When you fully allow Him to have access, only then can He work on you and help you through. Just like dying to self.

Once the festive/holiday period is over, we would be entering a new year, sorry most likely we would be in a new year, some are already setting resolutions for themselves while others setting goals, I do hope you are sitting down and allowing God to be the writer of your story next year, you are inviting him into your journey, your plans for next year and you are asking for his advice on what to do next year to improve yourself.

I could not stop myself from adding this last one

I wish you a Merry Christmas in Advance and yes before I end this blog, I'm really grateful to God, in this week, I celebrated with three amazing people in my life, one of which is my Dad and the other two are friends which God blessed me with while I served as the Financial for Student Body in school.

Till I write again...

your blog bestie,

Omoye

  1. Wonderful piece allowing the holy spirit to take over us and guide us. His word also says we should lean not on our own understanding and he will direct our path.

I wish you a merry Christmas 🎄⛄ I'm jealous of you cos I wish I could celebrate with my family too but it is well 🤗I'd surely be with them before the new year, and I pray you God's guidance as you embark on your PPA after the holiday.🙏
